I have no memory of this iteration of The Brave and the Bold. Yes, I know the comic is water damaged.

DC COMICS house ad for THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD comic from 1991 from a water damaged comic.

Six issue miniseries, IIRC. Pretty sure I have it somewhere.

I think Grell was involved, but not sure…

Yeah, he did some co-writing, as I recall. Mike Baron was involved, too, since that's his Butcher character on the front.

They didn’t make good choices here.

I will say that they did make a great choice pairing Richard Case and Mark Badger on that issue

I think both of them are great. I’m curious to see that issue.

I think it's included in the second Longbow Hunters Omnibus, which I have on my bookshelf. I look forward to reading it in 15 years or so when I have the time.

I’m being serious. But the water damage, or the yellowing of the paper gives the comic some character because it’s shown it’s been read, and shows the passage of time. I have, at least, on Marvel comic from the 60s with no cover, and yellow pages. I keep it because it’s a treasure to me.

I’m definitely not a collector who puts comics in plastic and keeps them pristine. Everything I’ve kept is for reading.
