she needs to have it recorded that she asked the questions and what the answers were, though - I'm sure she reads the newspapers like anyone, but she's got to base decisions on facts presented (or not presented) to her in court. "How (the bleep) can you not know?" is a valid followup, too. :)

I get it entirely, it's *so frustrating* especially since the answer to "wtf is DOGE even" gets inconsistent answers. But - especially with something this high-profile that the administration and probably the Supreme Court will be looking for any excuse to rip apart - she needs to be meticulous.
In the UK the information commissioner would have shut DOGE down within seconds for so many data breaches
