I would not buy a BYD over a Tesla (to be precise: I would buy neither), but kind reminder: European NCAP does not even have a rule about manual door releases inside the vehicles in case of an accident, which Tesla started installing to their EVs only (very exactly) six years ago.

Fair point. However, I was just pointing out the stupidity of opting for a BYD over a Tesla on the premise of ‘safety’, when a Tesla is rated higher😔 Also, hasn’t the manual door release feature always been there since around ~2013(model s) ?
