What went on? I thought they were doing well in recent years...

They were doing fantastic but then their hitters went into a long slump. Their pitching has always been a weakness. They should still make the playoffs but they're not winning the world series.

I wouldn't be so sure about the playoffs. Other than Hoerner, their offense has gone south. Can't have virtually entire lineup in a slump at same time. By the time a few snap out of it, could be too late.
