Apparently some companies have been absorbing the costs. And since a chip is one small component of a computer, it might not have a huge impact on the price. But I hear you. Everything is incredibly expensive.

Obviously we’ll have to wait and see what they mean and/or if they actually do it, but taken at face value, a large tariff on semiconductors (or devices with semiconductors) is going to affect most components that already drive the cost (e.g., motherboard, graphics).
