i think they're really stupid and driven by spite for sure but i just don't think even the stupidest politician would do what they've done since coming into power, it literally alienates every single type of voter. i just can't see how it isn't a specific plan

I think they are literally incapable of comprehending they can do anything else. they perhaps understand that they are unpopular in a nebulous sense but they’re still afraid of the papers, who to them represent real public opinion
