"Buying into" can just mean, they've been to lots of weddings, they've enjoyed them, and now it's their turn they want to reciprocate.

Oh sure. If you enjoy it, it makes you happy, go for it, I'm happy for you, honestly. I still don't like them personally, and have a feminist problem with the outsized focus on this one day, and the brainwashing towards it that girls get from when they are little. But that's on me. Have fun.
