Finished The Dark Ages yesterday with about 3 trophies short of a platinum. Loved it! Feel like the shield is a game changer and I'll definitely miss it when I go back to the others. id have been so consistent with the quality of DOOM titles over the last 30 years, and this one is no different! 9/10
I was playing through Doom Eternal (on my PC close to the TV) while my missus was binging all of iZombie. So I have this weird connection between you and Doom in my jumbled memory...
I'm so Eternal-pilled the notion of DOOM slowing down haunts me. I just need to get my hands on this to really wrap my head around it
It’s not slower, you’re just tankier, and you have the options to adjust.

I got so far back into space marine 2 & Darktide I didn't know this went live.
I'm looking forward to the 15th. Loved 2016 but disliked the ammo scarcity and the need to switch weapons in Eternal.
I’m finding pc gaming tougher to sink time into as an old man. Are the doom games any good with a controller?
I’ve played it with a controller and it feels really nice. I’m sure it’s better with a mouse but for a console shooter, it was absolutely worth it.
I honestly couldn't stomack Eternal with a controller, I'm not like amazing with it, but most FPS games are more than tolerable for me, Doom ain't it, compared to how fast and fun it was with kb&m. If you've been primarily PC player, you might ruin the experience for yourself
How did you find some of its departures from Eternal? Did they enhance the overall experience for you?

How's the soundtrack though?
Been at it all day today (apparently “early access” meant “whenever it shows up” if you bought the physical PS5 disc). Been having lots of fun, very different from Eternal but now that I’m getting the hang of it, it’s a great time. About six levels in now, loving it!
