I'm going to say something controversal and this purely my opinion. I think she went into this grifting. Because her work is clearly a 12 year old's first draft with no editing. Even the worst editor on fiverr could have done better than this.

I unfortunately have encountered people who are just this bad. What i will agree with is that i think a lot of the writing was straight up done when she was 12. I DO think however that she is that person who is all MY VISION and ignored every editors comments

I remember when she was posting originally and had a moment where she was saying that people kept giving her criticism and she kept rejecting it due to MUH VOICE. I’ve done freelance editing for people who do that and theyd just ignore me lol

As a fellow freelance editor, I cannot tell you the number of authors who just ignore my advice. You would think that, since they paid me, they actually want my expertise. (It would not surprise me at all to hear that this chick was one of those.)

This. I have given editing clients TONS of comments, and they used next to none of them because they required major work to the book that they didn't want to do.
