It’s on their interest to shut up if they sincerely want to obtain a criminal conviction that is not vulnerable on appeal to claims of egregiously violating his constitutional right to due process by poisoning the jury pool, and more.

Why not? Are they above the law? Do they get to poison public opinion about defendants in a way that other prosecutors can’t?
