when my local fire department wants a new truck they gotta have a car wash and a half dozen bake sales but we got money in the budget for every police station in the country to have two dozen rocket launchers. awesome country, really

Our fire stations are on strike right now. They've always had to find ways to fix their stuff. Had some come in to my shop and buy a bunch of boat batteries. Said they had to daisy chain em together and it worked alright-ish. The factory ones apparently cost like, $3k or whatever and city refused.
