I figured out how to change it and it's still showing fascism units on the lock screen!

Some of those settings could be controlled within your clock app on some systems. I see some people saying that having thephone language set to en-us can also force it to °F. Or maybe it'd take a system restart to flush out the lock screen widgets?

I tried restarting. I have my locale set to en-us and that's probably the issue.

The reports I read say that the units could inconsistently swap back and forth as the day goes on, depending on whether it prioritizes locale or the literal unit preferences at any given point in time. So you might still see °C occasionally!
