I like it just like that, as if they are materializing from the red canvas.

Thank you. I always like it in the mid way point as well.
Nice energy and composition!
Thank you so much. ❤️
This is lovely..
Thank you so much h. 🥰
This goes hard. Love the movement you convey with this.
Thank you so much! 😊
You're most welcome had to share your art with friends.
Such elegant hands
Thank you! 😊
I just have to share that your depictions of queer joy are absolutely breathtaking and they resonate deeply with me. As a lesbian, there's something unique but universal in the way you capture the LGBTQ+ community's experiences. Thank you for brightening my feed with your beautiful art! ❤️
That means a lot to me. I know I can make every single individual in our community feel seen but I sure try my damndest.
Stunning
Thank you!
I've noticed with a lot of your work you paint with a red or deep coloured base, but its not featured in the final piece. Any particular reason for the colour specifically? preference or does it help with the final overlay tones? I used to paint on primed canvas with either white or clear base
I generally do the background in a burnt sienna. I just find it less jarring to work on a semi nuetral colored background. White is always very jarring to me. Plus this body of work isn’t about perfection so I let the background bleed through in many places and become part of the piece. :-)
That makes a lot of sense. And a very useful tip too.
Very nice!
Thank you! 😊
Are you, if I may ask, a Hurd of THE Hurds?
Haha, related to Peter Hurd? No. Growing up I was told we were related but back then there was no real way to prove it. So while I don’t think we’re actually related, thinking there was an artist in my family did inspire me to create. It’d also showed me it was possible. :-)
Awesome!
Thank you! 😊
Wow that is amazing
Thank you so much. 😊
