Maybe it’s because I hate myself but I will never understand why anyone needs an entire week of celebration for their birthday

My coworkers all got on to me this week when I told them I don’t celebrate my birthday at all anymore (I haven’t in 4 years). I told them my shitshow of a life isn’t worth acknowledging.
