I bet this is largely because, leaving MAGA aside (hey, there's an idea!), most of the GOP is in the investor class (as I am). I think markets are at odds with the perilous financial situation of most workers; if markets falter, T might lose most of the rest of his support. (C'mon, reality!)

They should also mention probably 25% of the Republicans aren’t either cause they certainly aren’t all MAGA in those protest from the red states. I think it’s more like the split is between democracy and autocracy.

What Trump's doing is class warfare, the wealth of the nation is flowing to the top, and coming out of the groups below. They are not Democrat Party values which champion social programs for working class families. Neither side is perfect, but Trump makes the contrast clearer. It explains the poll.
