🇨🇦 Canadian Shoppers: Campbell Soup closed its Canadian plants a few years ago but they are putting a Canadian flag on soups sold in Canada. They justify it by stating that the soup recipes were created in Canada. This is deceptive advertising.

Absolutely! Be aware of business lies in our 🇨🇦 stores. Buy Canadian or any other suitable non- American product. In the case of soups why not make your own - it’s easy, not rocket science.
Lol I guess I can't relive my childhood being home sick from school. 🤣
Not only delicious but made in town. vancouversoupcompany.com
They sure don’t taste like they used to. Cream of mushroom doesn’t taste like cream. It tastes like flour.
So much for "made in canada"
In my veggie store, there are blueberries that say made in Canada, but there's a US address on it. These things should be stopped at the border.
I had an almost similar experience. Store gere had Anerican blueberries mixed with ones from B.c, thinking ppl wouldnt notice. Spent 10 minutes moving shit around on them
Nice that you took the time for the next person. 👍😊
Tbh it was more the anger in me that took over than thoughts of being nice
Oh well, you helped other people. 😊
I usually make my own soups, but I do like to have a few cans in the cupboard for days when I'm too tired to cook. There's a number of Canadian brands that are better than Campbell's, for ex. Sprague, Primo, Aylmer.
Besides being gross by today’s standards, a good reason not to buy.
TIL that I, a Californian living in Hayward California, can apparently create Canadian products as long as I doodle sketches of them on a VIA train somewhere.
Somebody needs to make stickers we can buy yo slap onto these types of products when we find them
All they need to say is ‘American Liar’ And that would work. If you stick them on the grocery store shelves, they’ll catch on!!
Another opportunity for Canadian entrepreneurs!!
“This product is deceptively labelled in an effort to confuse you.”
Yes! I like it!!
Little hand-written sticky-notes might do?
That’ll work, it’s just not as fast as a sticker 🤣😂
Badly done, Campbell’s.
#campbellsoup boycott this crappie company 💩
Well well well. I thought it was a US company.
Who eats that crap anyway? Buy real Canadian or non blackmail country products only!!!
I used to use it as a base for some recipes
Dump Campbell Soup in Humber Bay. Buy Canadian. www.spraguefoods.com
Oh, Iove that brand, they have a lot of could blends!
Ha! That's brilliant. The Toronto Soup Party!
This may be the only time that I ever agree with that corrupt pos Doug Ford.
Me too.
That's as skanky as herring left out in the sun.
When you go to the grocery store, turn a few of the Campbell soup cans upside down. If we keep doing this, maybe that grocery stores will get the message and maybe other customers will start to understand that they should not be buying this crap. And with the amount of sodium in it it is crap.
⬆️😁
Very deceptive especially for those who don't understand what that means..🤬
Got a blender, fresh homemade soup is the best.
Boycott Campbells!!
Buy Sprague brand. It's pretty good. I thought Habitant soup was made in Canada but it isn't.
Agreed. Everything I’ve tried by Sprague has been delicious.
Thanks Maggie. I thought Habitant soup was made here too. I win’t buy it anymore.
Habitant pea soup is owned and made by Campbell in US since 1989. Don't buy.
I was so surprised when I looked it up.
Yet another NAFTA causality.
Laughable. Bring your readers and inspect ALL labels. Maple-washing, always with a GIANT red maple leaf on the label: Curated In Canada Created In Canada Crafted In Canada Designed In Canada DON’T LET US PROFIT CENTRE CORPS FOOL YOU. #BuyCanadian #BABA
And suspect Galen Weston first of all.
P.s. what’s a soup designer? 🤣 never seen that job description in the classifieds 🤣
Probably means marketing.
Thank you for this!

CBC Radio did a segment on this last night as well. 💪 🇨🇦
These are hard times for American businesses but deception is no way through it.
Campbell soup is not soup. It is a bowl of sodium. Stay away.
Sprague , Primo, Aylmer 🇨🇦
Can't find Sprague where I live but can find the other two. Thanks
If you are in Ontario, in some areas Sobey's, Foodland, Giant Tiger carry Sprague. On Sprague website, they have a store locator with postal code.
I'm in Maple Magatland unfortunately, so 3 provinces over to the west
Damn! That's too bad. I found 3 places in my town selling Sprague. I was pleasantly surprised.
Yeah but there's Alymer and another canadiaj brand... plus homemade us always an option too
Surprisingly it's at Walmart!
R u out east? Cause it isnt at ours
I'm in the middle, Ontario.
Lol I had a feeling. Sprague can b found there but not out west. i grew up in b.c. but am in maple magatland rn. "Middle" for me always made me think of the praries. Ontario, to me, IS out east
I've spent enough time in BC to know that, but East to me is from Quebec City to the Maritimes, when I start to smell the salt in the St Lawrence.😉
I love how our ideas of east and west change depending where we grew up. "West" for me is the Phillipjnes, japan, etc lol
I ordered Sprague online from Well.ca.
I'll have to look into it. Thanks. There are two Canadian alternatives u have been able to find locally
Not even a nice try🇨🇦
Haven't purchased canned soup in years. Soup is SO EASY to make. Just take food you were going to throw out (old veggies, bones, carcasses) and boil it instead = soup.
However, if you live alone and are sick, canned soup is comforting.
Someone buy that person a boatload of Go Bio! organic bullion cubes (veg, chicken or beef). Add one to boiling water for plain, comfort #soup in 5 mins. Or get fancy and add meat, vegs, noodles, etc. No hideous ingredients, no cans. I use these all the time! #buyCanadian
Where do you buy these?
The Superstore, maybe No Frills too, idk. I spent years using crappy bullion cubes but was allergic. These are the best I've found. 😃
That it is. Just not soup from USA 💪
Thank you. I will boycott them in USA too.
Aylmer and Primo soups, including those under the St-Hubert, Tim Hortons, and other house brands, are produced in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Additionally, Sprague Foods offers a Creamy Tomato soup made in Canada with local ingredients.
Sorry to link to X - but I just read this; FAO Canadian shoppers! Traditional Habitant soup is another!
They say they are phasing this label out, after Doug Ford called them out on this; www.insidehalton.com/news/campbel...
