🤔 Great post that crystalizes the question: "Has everybody lost the fucking plot?" 😖 3X STs that get their sums right: Light, good ergos, enough zoom, 'not tagged by skate punks' graphics. But ALL would still benefit from more of the original's livability, service-ability, repair-ability 😉 👍

I was set to get a Tiger 800 until I checked the insurance rates. I felt like a twenty-something again, buying the bike I could afford to insure. I like my Tuareg, but it wasn't my first choice.

Sport-Tour is great. I still think BMW's R1100rs was one of the best. From 1996. Full tank and fully loaded it was an autobahn-style, high speed, corner-carving, freight train on rails. With excellent mileage.

I feel like they’re going to make a comeback. Guys were buying adv bikes who used to buy these but I think most of them realized they never really go off-road.
