Democrats tried to ban assault weapons, expand national background checks, create a national red flag law, and repeal gun manufacturers’ liability shield but Republicans stopped them. Trump repealed Biden’s executive orders such as the one creating the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
They had all of congress and the Whitehouse first 2 years if Biden Admin. They did not codify Roe, they did not strengthen safeguards. Did not expand the Supreme Court that has taken our rights away. They passed legislation that was killed with a stroke of a pen.

When they have both houses and the presidency, they balk. However, understanding Robert’s Rules of Order means there is a ton of procedural shenanigans they can do to gum up the works. They can control the narrative. Less try and more ‘do’. Floating bills in a split congress is lip service.
