My 2 cents here... 1 - Why the hell should we sink to their level of barbarism and buy a gun that supports their demand to elevate the evil NRA? 2 - There was a ban on assault weapons before then the ban expired 2004 when a Repugnant was in office. Gun deaths prior to 2004 were significantly lower

I hear what you're saying. I know some Democrats that have guns but they're male and not blood thirsty asshats like many patriarchal Repugnants. The assault rifles must still be banned. No, I'm not Irish; Scottish, French, and Cherokee ancestry.

They, thankfully, weren't aware of assault weapons. They were true warriors that fought hand-to-hand, arrows, dirks, swords, and non-automatic rifles.
Native Americans absolutely fought with guns when they had access to them. When people fight with less sophisticated weaponry, it's out of necessity. If we had an assault weapons ban right now, I have zero faith in the current government to apply it fairly. It would just give the right more power.
Society needs to be educated on critical thinking skills because its too obvious too many people LACK them. Main question- Why do you need a weapon of war in the hands of a civilian that NOT trained in War? There's NO reason for it. BAN THEM! ATF will have a big task to attack this topic.
We obviously need gun control but we first have to create a state that applies laws equally. We don't have that. We have a fascist government backed by overly armed law enforcement and a network of right-wing militias. I just can't encourage a ban that would be used against us.
The ban was in force and worked before. Why can't an updated model of that policy be created and implemented once the MAGAts lose their control in Congress?
