I don't think even Asimov or Philip K. Dick could've imagined this type of future. 🤣

I feel like Asimov saw tech as basically good and well-designed but with the potential for cracks to form. Philip K. Dick saw tech as a scummy means of extracting value from unwitting consumers helpless to resist its charms. The stupid reality is much closer to PKD's vision, I'd say. 🖕🤖
I don't truck with fiction that sees technology as inherently good, like all we have to do is develop it and it'll somehow save us from ourselves. Not that technology can't be 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 for good. But as long as we incentivize greed and competition over cooperation, our tech will keep working against us.
...but Douglas Adams might have. He had *a lot* to say about over-engineered technology.
