It depends on if you trust the monarch IMO
Not really. More like: does the monarch have any actual powers of intervention left, in a crisis? To which the answer is probably: no. Or at least, not, without provoking a constitutional crisis of its own.

“No monarch has done this in 300 years” is not a very strong statement for I’m sitting in a nation in peril that’s breaking all kinds of things
Can’t speak for DAG, but I suspect he thinks monarch intervention quite unlikely, depending on the crisis of course. And likely to cause issues of its own. But yes, in extremis, who can say?
I guess we’re back to asking how much we trust the monarch. Nevertheless, it still sounds like some more guardrails are in order for the UK.
