Rolling Stone: Texas state rep Giovanni Capriglione wrote Texas’ vicious “Human Life Protection Act” banning abortion, and now the married Capriglione has been accused by his long time girlfriend of paying for her multiple abortions. Capriglione admits the years long affair, denies the abortions.
It’s funny how the hardline conservatives want to legislate morality and what people can do with their bodies but never try to legislate adultery.
Republicans and Evangelicals are obsessed with controlling what goes on in other peoples’ bedrooms, not that they abide by their own standards for “moral” behavior.
Two things I’ll never forget from my couple of years building a refinery I Texas when I was young: the many times being invited to lunchtime prayer group (no thanks) and the time a guy invited me to join the KKK. That pissed me off. My buddy ended up beating that guy up.
KKK have always been scum and white trash. Christians feel free to intrude in everyone else’s private concerns.
