It is spectacular! And I mean that not just in terms of the action, but just visually stunning. Minimalist in terms of dialog, maximalist in action, with some truly beautiful shots of Finnish landscapes. I would recommend it, if you don’t mind some grisly violence.

It's odd. Over the top grisly doesn't bother me, but war grisly does. And all child or animal death bothers me.

No children here, and it’s not really war - mostly just one man receiving all kinds of violence and in turn wreaking havoc. His dog survives, but there is a horrific scene when his horse steps on a mine and gets blown up.

My last reply to you was right after the horse. Glad to hear the dog is OK, was worried.
