David, great respect for you, usually agree & don't think I'm "far left." Question was whether, beyond gratefully accepting endorsement, campaigning with Cheney appealed to swing voters or identified Harris with establishment most voters rejected. Elite never-Trumpers had already fled MAGA GOP.
She had an educative responsibility as a candidate and took that seriously. Had she campaigned solely on economics as far left folks like Sanders & AOC wanted her to, she would not have been addressing what was the most important issue. Moreover, she ran ahead of Sanders & his economic message. 1/
Now, Sanders is on a barnstorming tour lying about why she lost, saying it’s because she wasn’t enough of an economic populist. Again she ran ahead of him. & tons of political science research shows Dems lost white working class voters over status loss, not economics. 2/2

I would encourage you to read the political science literature on this. We’re doing this research for a reason but populists are too insistent on going with their vibes because they don’t want anything to conflict with their priors. Some of what you’re saying is true. But please read poli sci, e.g.:
The book I reviewed by Joan C. Williams reviews the literature & draws conclusions between the "racial resentment" & "economic anxiety" explanations. I'm not saying she has it exactly right, but think she advances the debate.
