The definition of autism changes with fashion. See Ivar Løvaas. Nowadays we're calling it a "spectrum" even though we still have no credible etiology (unless you work for RFK Jr). The only Pace Theory I know of holds that salsa from NYC isn't worth eating.

None of that makes sense. I presented Licklider's theory only as an example of how science progresses from one theory to a better theory. No one has bothered to offer a better one than Licklider's even though his is untenable on its face. Without an etiology, a "condition" is merely a syndrome.

If it is untenable on it's face you should be able to demonstrate it is false ... That's how science works...off you go then...
