It depends. East to West, North to South. Over the Alps, or under the Alps through the Gotthard-Basistunnel that is 57 kilometers long, can be traveled with 230 kph and cuts a lot of travel time. So North to South maybe 2 hours, but except the tunnel, no high speed train track and plenty of stops.

East to West in Switzerland is about the same distance as east to west across the northern Rockies.

Because it crossed my mind, better to compare it with certain parts of the bullet train network in Japan. Those really go through mountains, and are dedicated high speed tracks that only transport human beings.

Can't really compare, because there are no mountains on that route. And also it is no high speed track.
