honestly I don’t know, there were crazy rumors at the time that people were shooting at rescue helicopters but I don’t think that was ever confirmed, like most of the stories that were flying around.

20 years. It's hard to imagine. I remember when I first got back, despairing at reports that it could take 5 years for the city to recover. Here I am 20 years later, and I'm still not over it. Guess I never will be.
