Lovely however she’s still wearing that angry side eye.

Always ready to bodycheck the nearest white girl.
The stat pad queen herself!!! BAAAAAAANG!
Beautiful!
So now thugs are invited to the met gala? Shame, she's trash.
Is athletic a fashion media or sports? Ask why she can’t play as well as she dresses?
According to her, she’s the only reason the MET Gala is even popular.

$75,000 per person fund-raiser for a Costume Institute in NY. Pointless.
Pointless? People should be able to spend their money in any way they deem fit. Suffice to say, the 75K is being raised for good causes should make your grievance moot.
If preserving and displaying costumes is a good cause, ok. But let's all be clear that that is the cause. The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Is $31 million for costume preservation good?
No, the point was to raise funds. Your comment was pointless.
To raise funds specifically for the Costume Institute at the Met. They're quite clear about it. "The Met Gala event, through its ticket sales, helps raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute." www.metmuseum.org/departments/...
Aaaand?
$31 million for costume preservation? Just for this year. Everyone's cool with that? Compare that to NYC spending $6 million for unhoused and runaway youth.
Just because you don’t see any value in this particular art form doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable. The history and cultural significance means quite a bit to some. This year’s Met Gala in particular means a lot to African-Americans. So if art doesn’t interest you, don’t donate and don’t watch.
The money raised by the Met Gala is from private donors not the city of New York. If you have a problem with how the city of New York spends its funds, take it up with the mayor.
It was simply a comparison of charitable uses of money, and not a comment on the sources. Sorry to cause any frustration
Attendees looked fantastic for sure. I also think that the same awesome celebration of art and culture could be had while doing some real good for people who need it. It doesn't have to be either/or.
The point is both are possible and often people responsible for events like the Gala are charitable by nature. The chairs of this year’s Gala are personally responsible for millions donated to help people in a variety of dire circumstances, including homelessness and illness.
Valid for sure. It's beyond me how the Costume Institute of the Met requires $31 million in donations. I imagine they could preserve and display costumes with $21m. The goodwill generated by even a 70/30 split with a charity that supports real people with real challenges would likely be great.
The whole thing seems ridiculous.
It looks fun, and everyone looks amazing. I just think the take could be split with a more worthwhile charity or two.
