NFL teams are skeptical of the contracts handed out to QBs like Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa and Jordan Love. How have soaring QB contracts affected the way teams are building their rosters? http://dlvr.it/TMkysv

And Brock Purdy and...... Nobody was going to pay Purdy. Niners could have paid him 45 or even 40 per year, easy. Teams need GMs who can get to the final in a Texas hold'em tournament, not some sucker folding when someone breathes their way.

QB pay is setting up teams for failure, especially for QB talent that is not going to get a team to the promised land. Huge contract, poor play, restructure, repeat.

They are paying them the market rate so they don’t walk away to another team. Perhaps this article should be titled, “NFL Execs think they should be able to collude to drive down salaries so they can retain more profit”
