My favorite was being at a 1995 Nebraska home victory over Oklahoma to clinch the Fiesta Bowl berth and thePA kept saying and putting on the scoreboard “Please do not throw Fiestas on the field” as fans were trying to throw tortillas (not as good as Oranges to throw 😂)

The rule has nothing to do with the tradition of tortilla tossing. The rule is a reaction from water bottles being thrown in field after bad calls last season. Tortillas flew in season opener last night and will continue to fly. Harmless fun doesn’t have to cracked down on.
