Everyone is assuming that there will be an election and that Trump will have to work within some existing rules … There are no rules that can contain Trump’s lawlessness.

Even Russia and Belarus still have elections. "Are there still elections" is the wrong metric, and in any case not something you need to wait to see if it happens.
