The only people prosecuted at Nuremberg were military officers and politicians. Enlisted personnel were not prosecuted at any of the war crimes trials, because enlisted personnel cannot refuse orders from superior officers and cannot resign.
I get that. ICE is more aligned to the Gestapo and we should give ICE agents a lot of shit. They know what they signed up for. But the National Guard, I would be less harsh. They are forced in a bad situation, against their will (against why they signed up). Just my opinion.
There is always a choice. They can be a conscientious objector, if they are really opposed to this.
