Don't believe the astroturfers, many/most farmers want wind farms, as long as they share the benefits and aren't imposed by faceless outsiders.

I don't think wind farms are being imposed. Transmission may have to be. I have little empathy for near neighbours' having their feelings hurt *having* to look at turbines. Maybe some compensation for increased traffic.
