'Rev. Ivan Stang' was my East Dallas neighbor back in the late 80's and early 90's. He was truly quite the fella'!! High Weirdness by mail was a revelatory tome in it's own right... And of course the SubGenius Devivals in Deep Ellum were legendary! Gotta' say that book opened up a lot of 'doors'!

I discovered High Weirdness By Mail just before moving to East Dallas in the late 80's with my honey We'd no idea that 'The Rev' lived one street over from us on Victor when we moved in the neighborhood. We lived in a fourplex that had been utilized for filming The Trip To Bountiful. Good times!
