Players don't need to be announced by Monday 7pm, they just need to be registered, we could register a player 6:59 then wait until the end of the international break to announce them

It's happened for years where the deadline was 11pm and often you'd hear from SSN about "deal sheets" going through before the deadline then the announcement of the signings the following morning

That's a fair point. Generally deadline day sharpens minds and things move quickly (although we've not experienced that in quite a while so it'll be interesting to see how it goes).
