I also forgot to mention that I think one reason novice gardeners fail more is that you don't realize there are types of plants/foods that are specifically disease resistant. You have to know how it'll grow in your climate yes, but also some literally are just built different & that's 75% of it.
So if you do all the right things the plant just does the rest and chads it out in the garden like a fucking bad ass, meanwhile something else is like "IM MEEEELTING, MELLTING. I WILL SURELY PERISH FROM THIS YO-YOING OF CONDITIONS WEHHHHHHHH" and/or starts to get sick and die lol
Except cilantro. Cilantro is a whiny crybaby no matter what you do.
