It’s important to remember, it’s not simply “territory,” that trump and putin are negotiating for. It’s the natural resources, travel routes, shipping routes/ports, etc., and if putin controls these things, he controls the entirety of Ukraine’s economy, and can starve them out.

And even more importantly: what they (illegal invading force Russia and uninvolved 🍊🤡) are "negotiating" is simply a "stop shooting for a day or few" CEASEFIRE. NOT PEACE: CEASEFIRE. So ANY territorial concessions, like appeasement in Crimea 2014, merely serve as a springboard for RUs war next year.
And for what? US security guarantees? The same US that won't sanction Russia for war crimes? That welcomed Putin to US soil with open arms? Russia out of Ukraine. Crimea governed mutually and controlled by an international peacekeeper. US gives full support to Ukraine joining NATO.

Human lives first and foremost. A lot of people that were originally displaced had to return, even though it is occupied territory. They just could not find other place where they belong. Sad.
Putin knows exactly what he wants out of negotiations with Trump and Trump's not smart enough to understand what Putin's end game is with the land that Putin needs to control Ukraine. Trump is willing to give Putin what he wants because it's not his country.
