It’s really not hard to -not- make “jokes” about SA. But I guess for some, that’s not understandable from their self-centered way of thinking, until they experience it themselves. I have no interest associating with people who are so deprived of empathy.
Yeah. That user has since deleted the main posts where they made the joke as well as the one where they apologized. They kept stating they didn’t mean it that way. But how could they not know? The posts I saw them make made it obvious.

Including the word consent as part of a "joke", then making the decision to actually post it *and* being shocked (and defensive) by the reaction to it is insane. As you said, self-centered. It shows more interest in getting a joke off than thinking about the impact of your words.
Most people making the jokes HAVE experienced it themselves. The humor is their way of coping. I joke about it with a guy friend of mine cause we've both experienced it. The problem is a lot of people dont know "time and place" so their "jokes" are really just straight up rape threats. 💀 1/3
Im not saying everyone joking about it is a victim. Im not saying it's always fine. A lot of people, victims included, do it in bad taste. Jokes, especially dark humor, are meant to be funny and laugh at a tragedy. If victims are the punchline, that's not dark humor. Its just being a dick. 2/3
If a joke is funny cause it hurt someone or they started crying, thats not a joke, its bullying. I am very very very specifically defending it when people do it around people they KNOW are cool with it in ways making fun of rapists or ribbing friends. NOT people "jokingly" doing/saying gross shit.
