Just the information bit about epaulette sharks in sea life in Bray. They're my fave. They can walk on land on their front fins!

Why it suggests me pics of my ex
a diorama my son made (with a little help) when he was nearly 4 years old
I got a screenshot of the time when Marina Hyde laughed at a joke I made
Gotta love a good plot twist, especially when sharks are involved.
Photo taken at Aquário de São Paulo, the São Paulo Aquarium, in Brazil, on November 16, 2021. Somehow, I survived.
Monterey Bay Aquarium. There might be a hammerhead shark in there; hard to tell on my phone screen.
“Elon Musk doo doo de doo Elon Musk doo doo de doo Etc.”
😂👍
Surprised to find I did have one, it's about 10 years old, looks like Cape Cod from the badges on the sign.
We need to know more about The Whale Game
I do too! It was at a house my wife and kid stayed at with some friends. I wasn't able to be there, but they sent me the pic.
Aquarium hound here. There with grandsons at the Norwalk Aquarium.
Not a shark scientist, but I have to admit your photo reel is weird when you work at a museum...
The model is of a known great white that lives in the Waitematā harbour, in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. We had to remove some of her fins for transport, but I promise we put them back afterwards!
Is that the Nat or do all museums blend together?
This is in NZ! So probably not the museum you're thinking of 📜
This silly site and it’s lack of video, all I have is video of a juvenile blue shark trying and failing to eat bycatch from a deep-sea fishing trip I went on once 😹 poor incompetent little buddy
@whysharksmatter.bsky.social - this was the first pic that popped up on my roll. I have no idea when or where it was taken but I’m sure you appreciate the sentiment.
Elementary school science fair. So I guess these are still scientists. Sorry!
I was shocked to find anything, but I took this picture in Bergen, Norway last summer.
Pictures of sharks from an aquarium visit with the kids this summer.
This came up. My teenaged shark went shark sighting and this man was the one who took him and his friend out on a boat if I remember correctly.
A video of a shark I made at the zoo 🦈
This is the Director of the National Museum of National History, standing in front the giant megaladon model in the museum. It's apparently one of his proudest accomplishments as director.
All I get are pages of my handwritten IT notes referencing wireshark
A photo from last year when I discovered my friends’ kid owned your book. And a question that haunts me to this day
Embarrassed to ask, but how does one add smiley stickers to photos? Somehow I missed this lesson and I’ve never figured it out 😔
I ended up using the Mac so I open the JPG in Preview (the default app) and then use the annotate function to add the emoji in a text box. You can do it on the phone but I had trouble moving the emojis around to where I wanted them
Ah, really hoped there was a simple iPhone sticker thing I didn’t know about. Thanks though
I got it working on iphone too eventually, you just use the Markup tool when you use the edit photo function. Just that my fat fingers and old man eyesight had trouble grabbing the annotations and dragging them around.
Mastered that bit, just couldn’t figure out how to make the stickers the right size
On iPhone when you’re in markup mode you tap the aA icon bottom left and it opens up and you drag the slider.
Amazing. Looking forward to teaching someone else this. Knew there had to be something I was missing
Not a shark, but I do love this photo. I guess the AI confused the wing with fins? ✈️
Kat you’re so beautiful
Thank you Cindy, you're the best 💜
mwah
Kat.
Hey, Google photos claimed this was a photo of a shark. Wait, I'm in the photo too. Am... Am I a shark??
🎶 Dr Shark do do do do do do 🎶
A photo of non-sharky fish came up. This is sad b/c there are photos of actual sharks on my camera roll. Maybe this little cutie isn’t sharky enough?
I got this picture of when I was trying to watch Eurovision while doing dolphin photo-ID 🙈
I took this photo a while back because the packaging says it's a lion
Oh my god that's adorable, I know like three different people who need a set of those!
I got them in the Kid’s department in Marshall’s. Lol. I wanted the dinosaurs, but they were only in Single size (which describes my life but not my bed. Lol). They also had unicorns, and princesses (with frogs in crowns)
Ok, frogs with crowns is also kinda neat, but now I have to go send people out to scour for those sheets in a larger size
According to the package they don't make king-size sets (which...OK. A kid having a king-size bed is probably not necessary), but do make them in Single/Twin, Twin XL (the length that would be in a dorm room), and Double/Queen.
Ok, so one Twin, one Queen and one I don't know it's their kids bed, they know what size they take to order. Excellent, let the hunt begin!
I was surprised it wasn’t hockey related.
I was lucky enough to visit the MBL facilities in Woods Hole last summer when I was there for a summer school 🦈🤩
I seem to like shark pics. 2 from aquarium, one from I have no idea where. Plus many more.
Search your camera roll for “shark” From a few years ago: my old pet Sharkie (embarrassingly unoriginal for a writer) pining to sail away into the great big skies...
Search your camera roll for “shark” The first hit was this emergency locator buoy (I think from the Vancouver Maritime Museum) which automatically dispenses shark repellent, among other things. It did also pull up a good boi swimming in the shark tank at the Denver Aquarium.
Can I ask how this post from two years ago showed up on your feed today? Someone must have re-shared it.
I think it was a QT, yeah. I'll see if I can track down who shared it. I did not look at the date!
No worries at all, just got a bunch of replies all of a sudden and you’re the only one I know
Okay, this is the one I saw and went "Oh yes that would be fun to respond to." Though I have no idea where they saw it before that! Numbers suggest this is unlikely to be the root source of multiple new replies. bsky.app/profile/daph...
Huh. Thanks!
I saw it from this one: bsky.app/profile/niam...
This is from March 2015, I don't remember if I took it or not. Not generally a fan of marring books but I'll make an exception here.
Guitar shark at the shedd. Technically a ray to my understanding, but it's weird and i dig it.
I have sharks, but they are dead. Not looking their best.
Forgot all about this.. and was surprised how many shark photos are in my library.
I don’t care what the science says, I don’t care what fossils are unearthed, as an Iowan I will live and die believing our beloved Dunkleosteus was a huge shark boi and not some weird horror-bluegill
I'm kinda impressed Apple photo search was able to pull up so many of my diving photos that actually had sharks in them (although it also thinks mantas are sharks apparently). Lovely nurse shark checking me out to see if I was going to spear any lionfish during a dive in Belize in 2021 🦈
Apple photo search ☺️: all fish are sharks. Me: nooo, not quite... Apple photo search 😤: ALL FISH ARE SHARKS!
“Guilty or innocent?” (I remember collecting this around the time of some indictments.)
I had no idea this was possible. These are from an aquarium in Dubai in 2009
My now nearly 12yo did a shark dive sitting on the aquarium floor watching black reef tips for his 9th birthday. He learned a lot that day. He LOVES sharks (and prehistoric marine reptiles)
Found this lovely nurse shark next to a water slide! Used to stay at Atlantis Bahamas a lot for work. A bit kitsch for me, but their aquariums were really cool.
We now need fat duck week
Sharknado memes and aquarium photos. The first one that popped up were these big dudes from my visit to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in NOLA, who are definitely not sharks but they're trying their best, okay?
How many times have we seen this one
No idea, but it’s delightful. I wish it had won on silliness alone
Disappointed my diving pics didn’t come up - they at least have Easter and fishies…
I have to proof before sending. They at least have the sea and…
One of the best spots in the world. But you know that.
I grew up in Chicago and I miss that store so much!
It’s the best place, but apparently they moved to Park Ridge. Unless their website is some kind of elaborate prank.
I could see them doing that, but google maps, which is less inclined towards silliness also says park ridge.
This is what came up for mine. Bum-boob-shark is also a very good sign. (I know it’s not the name). Not a scientist but a diver. Funny that the photos of actual sharks (and there should be some) did NOT show up
I searched for “shark” in my photos and was served up this photo I took at the Thierry Mugler exhibit in Montreal
Thank you my feed is full of random shark posts!
I searched for „Hai“ (german for shark) and found a photo from the Lissabon Aquarium:
Close enough ;) taken some weeks back at the „progress in marine conservation“ conference of BfN at the Oceaneum in Stralsund
it caught the book title in the background but the picture is of my knitting work in progress :)
Only shark on my camera roll lol. Local shark encounter enters family chat.
No sharks. 🥲
It’s a lovely book about a (probably autistic) kid who loves sharks, and how friendship comes from unexpected places.
The time we had to georeference a map we found on the internet for GIS class. 😂
That looks so fun!
The race is only 10 km, but with all the dancing it's more like 20 🥵
😬 Couldn’t be me (a swimming marathon I could do, however)
My lack of shark photos is disappointing. I swear I took a screenshot of shark slippers for my wishlist. Your toes go in its tongue and the top part of the mouth flops as you walk.
I was surprised, but I pulled up an aquarium visit from years ago.
You are right - no idea I would find a shark! Child liked this shark found in the Phoenix magazine! Looks like credit goes to Will Jakeman’s marvellous mech-animals by Nick Wars!
From a visit to the fish ladder at Bonneville Dam. (Actually a salmon not a shark)
I think this is from when I was playing Raft and playing with AI generated images. 😆
I got nothing for shark. So I tried fish instead. This is Grim Reaper. A Betta fish that my daughter named.
Land shark (Not my cat, picture is from The Zen Kitty on Instagram)
More than I expected to have, although one is actually a spotted eagle ray rather than a shark.
Omg
It wrote shark in the camera roll and it brought up 14 pics, but one didn’t match.
I think the football pic has a guy with a shark haircut.
You can eat that shark while he eats you.
My camera roll doesn't search, and my social media images have no sharks. So I have these.
That face!
The only two things that came up, my copies of JAWS and the recipe for a delightful tiki drink
