My (hated, loathed) minority view that is R1 as a whole is a pretty big mess, but the last 20 (or so) minutes are so good, everyone forgets how mid the rest of the movie is.

It’s very obviously cobbled together from a bunch of reshoots, and not very successfully edited into a whole. It succeeds from some good central characters and a lot of lasers and shit.

Also it looks really good

They’ll CGI an entire Peter Cushing, but they’ll let James Earl Jones really phone it in.
