They’re spending these 4 years putting the authoritarian superstructure in place, with tremendous success so far. Once it’s in place, they’ll no longer need a charismatic leader who can GOTV. They can just plug the next guy into Trump’s spot, and the machine will keep chugging along.

Politics don't stop just because Stephen Miller becomes President or whatever. They are not invulnerable gods. They are an unpopular regime that took a razor thin victory as proof of the mandate of heaven. they have vastly overplayed their hand for stability beyond Trump

Fascism is a system, not an individual.

Fascism crumbles as soon as the charismatic individuals at the top die or otherwise lose their veneer of popularity. They are inherently unstable. There is no thousand year Reich coming.
