the monster who destroys the monster who destroys innocent ppl. that is what makes him different. not the ban. if he were to fail in that and cause the death of an innocent person when he could've saved them, it's the same as if he pulled the trigger, did the crime himself. and that, whether he
wants to admit it or not, would make him a monster. no different from the criminals he claims to fight. killing a murderer to defend and save innocent ppl targeted is good, and makes him different. so his reason can't be that it automatically makes him the same. his justification for the ban should
be that he has other options. better ways. or that he believes all ppl no mater how lost can find their way back. and that especially with a team of superhumans, superman, mr. terrific, martian manhunter, zatanna, plastic man, wonder woman, etc, their duty is to find alternatives.
when their faith is tested, shaken, doubts, fear, vulnerability will give them a relatable humanity. make them more than the never changing, stoic, frowning machines they've been for so long. that's why i love what gunn did to kal-el in the new superman film. and what harley quinn did with all the
dc characters in the series, especially to joker, gordon and batman. would be great if they evolved superman, wonder woman and the rest. maybe sometime in a future season. show's still relatively young.

well, unless the last few hours are going to rocket to a million degrees, i'd call august officially over. none too soon but it was not as hot as i expected. june/july felt worse. doesn't mean the earth isn't overheating. this will be the coldest summer of the rest of my life.
