Is Pau's progressive passing THAT good over the last year or so? The trade off doesn't feel worth it to me atm

I posted a follow up that touches on that but I see a lot of either Tielemans or Pau has to be deep, both cost something to defence. I'm of the opinion that Maatsen can solve that issue; started 7 of the last 10 in our good end of season run, a bunch with Onana in the pivot.
