@nico-02.bsky.social I had to fill out the snap benefits for the next year, and I got my letter today saying I'm only eligible for $34.00. How the hell am I supposed to make that work. So the big ugly bill is already screwing shit up. I used to get $174.00 a month. And that was hard. 🤬🤬
How is that possible? Have you had any changes from last year to this year? Idk how ppl are supposed to live on that measly amt. My HH clients are worried about that too & one was telling me yesterday he has to recertify in Oct. I’ll see how much his changes.
Remember, republicans said they’re only cutting able bodied ppl sitting on their couch, refusing to work…those bastards! This tells me 1 of 2 things. The fed gov’t isn’t contributing anything to the program & leaving it to the state, or vice versa…unless you’ve made more money this past yr.
My check went up like $20.00, that's it. I actually pay more in bills than last year. My mortgage went up because of property taxes and house insurance. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've had 3 knee surgeries and a knee replacement, have had multiple back surgeries and my back is still messed
up. Not to mention the constant migraines. I can't even keep up with housework. I got a letter from the Medicare insurance I go through, and things are going to change with that too, and it specifically said because of the big ugly bill. They act like we don't want to work, which is not the case.
That’s ridiculous! The same happens every year in Jan, seniors get a COLA for $40 & their Medicare membership goes up, their SNAP goes down & you end up with nothing. It’s why 3 of my HH clients moved back home with more to come. My hours have been cut & I’ll be joining you very shortly.
It's so messed up. I really hope you won't be in the same situation. I can't wait until every republican is out, and I hope they all go to jail for everything they have been doing. The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer it's set up to keep us down. 🤬
Thanks Sandi, but I’m in a very rural area so I honestly don’t believe any healthcare workers job will be safe. Hospital, nursing home, doctors offices, home health…it’s all gonna collapse when ppl lose their Medicaid & SNAP. I hope they all go to prison.
