Dog joy. I don't think we're grateful enough for it, even though it is one of life's great pleasures. I always think of the neglected and dying Argos, raising his head and wagging his tail for the last time, when Odysseus, disguised as a beggar, comes home after 20 years. Only Argos recognizes him.

This is so adorable particularly knowing how it started! 🥰
