I do that on the first morning of my holiday too! It's excitement for me, fingers crossed it's the same for beautiful #SophieFromRomania 😍 Mum & Dad give up too so Day 1 is usually a lazy day with afternoon tea and cake and... naps 😴 😆

Its very hard though eith distracted sleep... my minature dachshund has got into the habit of getting me up at about 6.30 even on a day off! Who needs sleep 🥱😴🤣🤣

Oh I feel for you all. Her routine is disrupted and she will be out of sorts for a little bit. She will settle I'm sure. Its a year since she was away so bound to unsettle her.

She's just excited to be on holiday 😂 Who knows? This could be the year she get to enjoy long walks on the beach.

I suppose it's better than hiding behind the sofa.

My previous dog was always unsettled by trips away. It's like she thought she was going to be rehomed again

Sophie is confused it's not home, but knows she's been to this place before, but for now, it's settling into a new routine and wants to get out and explore! Think you got the hint that Sophie wanted to go walkies, I'd have given up after the 2nd time!xx💖🐕

Our dog is always a bit unsettled for a day or 2 on holiday. Think she wakes up & wonders where she is & where we are. She is nearly 9 & been going on holiday since a year old but she still does it 🙂

Exhausting anyway, even without the long journey beforehand. A quiet, restful day might be a plan.

She'll be wanting to go home where everything is familiar. She's out of her usual routine so bound to be disturbed. When we took a previous family dog away for the first time she wouldn't wee in an unfamiliar place until forced to when she woke Dad up in the early hours. Hopefully will settle soon 🤞

Sophie. You are a fantastic dog. Somewhere new can seem scary, but you do have your extended pack, and are perfectly safe. You could try a pub cup on the beach you know. But don’t tell your humans I suggested it will you. Not very good for your beautiful figure, but who cares.
