Queuing now for 45 minutes for the 1205 Glasgow flight, first at the gate then on a stationary bus. They’ve just told us the delay is because the crew hasn’t turned up

Reminds me of the story of when the older aircraft to the islands were 'agricultural' in design of the grandmother telling her granddaughter of her surprise when the transfer bus she thought was on took off!

I speak as someone who flies but rarely; but that is a truly elitist position to take. If you live somewhere like Inverness, never mind the Northern or Outer Isles, of course there are ways to get everywhere without flying but the opportunity cost is huge.
