I adopted a frightfully anxious dog too. I teared up when she first ran and played in the park. Sophie's evolution is such a joy to see too

She needs to go run and get her energy out. Take her to a park with a long leash and let her run. Bring a ball.

She often goes to a secure field with some doggy pals to play with, so she does get off lead runs. It just can’t be done every day.

And she has zero interest in running after balls! Looks at me like I am weird if I throw one
