We need two thirds to convict. I don't see how that happens. But what if Trump does something very, very bad? He did that on Jan 6 and we still couldn't get enough votes to onvict. We should have had 100%. If the Dems take the House in 2026, expect an impeachment.

I don’t believe you need 2/3 in the house. It’s the Senate where you need 2/3 for the final conviction. Once the house has impeached him, he is impeached no matter what the senate does.

That's correct. You need a simple majority of the House to impeach and 2/3 of the Senate to convict and remove from office. I think yet another impeachment is likely if the Dems take the House in 2026 but I find it very unlikely that the Senate will vote to convict.
