She deleted her first post...the rest remains and are just as bad imho. Wittering on about depressed wages as if that excuses punching down on asylum seekers. It's disgraceful behaviour from an MP. And it very much is her responsibility to counter fascist tropes.

It's not good enough, is it? Elected reps need a tighter code of conduct.
Teachers and nurses are held to higher levels of conduct than MPs. In the UK it would appear that the Nolan Principles are only for the little people. The likes of Gove, Johnson and Farage have destroyed standards in public life. Lying used to be a sacking offence - now it’s a required attribute.
Sadly this is true, in many respects our entire political system needs an extremely major overhaul with so many changes required
I want citizen involvement. Parliament under first past the post has lost the link to how most people think, and it struggles with moral authority. Sortition might be a way.
A Parliament made up of people who are there seeking their own advancement and enrichment above the needs of their constituents is destined to fail. We haven’t really progressed since the first Parliament was created to appease the masses without giving them any real power. It’s all a sham.
Genuinely don't think everyone goes into it thinking that way, but it def churns them in all directions. Parliament needs a total refresh. Maybe in my lifetime, we can only hope.
I agree but new MPs are quickly whipped into shape and required to conform by their more ‘experienced’ colleagues. I wish they could hold onto their integrity and principles for longer but the current system doesn’t allow it.
